What is a standing committee?
Local administrative handles very complicated and diverse issues so the Council operates Standing Committees which are deliberative bodies comprised of few council members that are experts in specific fields.Eunpyeong District Council operates 3 Standing Committees – Steering Committee, Administration and Welfare Committee and, Finance and Construction Committee.
Department under the jurisdiction of the Standing Committee
- Steering Committee The Committee handles matters related to operating the Council, the Secretariat and Council regulations.
- Administration and Welfare Committee The Committee handles matters related to and oversee the work of the Audit Officer, Public-Private Cooperation Officer, PR Officer, Administrative Safety Bureau, Education and Culture Bureau, Citizens Welfare Bureau, health centers and Facilities Management Corporation.
- Finance and Construction Committee The Committee handles matters related to and oversees the work of the Finance and Economy Bureau, Transportation and Environment Bureau and Urban Construction Bureau.
